COMMISSIONER, RAJASTHAN FOUNDATION

Dhiraj Srivastava, an officer of 1994 batch has been recently appointed as Commissioner, Rajasthan Foundation.He has over two decades of administrative experience and has held important field postings in border districts of Rajasthan as Assistant Collector in Sirohi District, Sub-Divisional Officer in Jalore, Jodhpur and Alwar.

Looking to his work on the ground, he was appointed as OSD to Hon’ble Chief Minister, Rajasthan from 1999 to 2003.

Dhiraj Srivastava (52) hails from Allahabad. He has had an excellent academic record throughout and was a gold medallist in his post-graduation course. He is an avid reader and likes singing and listening to music. Viewing his extraordinary talent, he was appointed as OSD in the prestigious National Advisory Council, Prime Minister’s Office, New Delhi in 2004.

Looking to his excellence and aptitude, for the first time, he was appointed as Private Secretary to Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson, UPA & National Advisory Council and also in Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust, New Delhi in 2010. His services were also utilized in Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, New Delhi.

He is also acknowledged with noted contributions in framing of historic legislations, such as, the Right to Information (RTI), the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and Social Security to unorganized sectors covering denotified, nomadic and particularly vulnerable tribal group.

Dhiraj Srivastava sought voluntary retirement from services in Feb. 2019 even though a long period was still left before him in view of his dedication and commitment to social sector.

His recent appointment is Commissioner, Rajasthan Foundation – set up under the Chairmanship of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Rajasthan. The main objective of this august body is to strengthen and renew the bonding between Non-Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs) and the State of their origin.
